About MaDFaRT
Welcome to Methods & Demands for a Revolution Today [MaDfaRT]!
This blog is making a simple argument: our lives and the lives of our loved ones are at risk, and it's our right and responsibility to act to ensure we'll be fine.
Today, this means we must raise a revolution.
If you just want to read the blog, you can start from the beginning or jump to the chase. Here's the gist on how I'm going about this. You can also read it in long form.
Revolutions are violent. I am not. (more)
We get a livable world only if violent power interests driving us off the precipice are neutralized, transformed, abolished, or defeated. No way this will happen peacefully.
I abhor violence. I am bad at violence. I aim to understand it, not to incite or organize it. I am pretty sure I'm like most people in this regard, and I'm focusing on how we can make sense of this context and exert influence within it.
My identity is undisclosed and unimportant. (more)
Safety. Any speculation about my identity is doxing.
I am not the message or a brand. Please come here to learn and get ideas how to act, not to consume content.
I do not claim special standing as an expert or a member of a group. Happy to share my insights, defend them on their merits, and engage with others on the same terms.
Everything is a draft. (more)
I'll broach every topic starting at an introductory college level, and go in either expert or lay direction as needed.
The blog is for everyone. (more)
We need people from all walks of life either actively on board with the changes we need, or, at worst, neutral enough to stand aside.
I will try to start conversations. If you chime in I'll try to meet you where you are, but I'll also challenge you to step out of that. I welcome, and will offer, constructive antagonism.
You can do this, too! (more)
Writing about "What in the world do we do?" isn't unique. More of us need to do it. Go ahead, start a sister blog, let me know about it.
If you happen to build on how the ideas are presented here, please give me a shoutout and share your work under the Creative Commons BY-SA license.
Please get in touch!
Would love to know how I'm doing! You can join free Patreon to chat, or e-mail me.
Sharing and making any of this your own is support enough, but if you wish, you can donate via LiberaPay, with my thanks.
